**The story behind the strawberries:
Tony had previously talked about getting "Shari's Berries" for me for Valentine's Day or my birthday...but when I found out that the cost for a dozen strawberries [plus shipping] was equal to a week's worth of groceries for our family, I assured him I would feel much more loved if he did NOT spend $50 on chocolate covered fruit. Such sweetness and thoughtfulness (not to mention soo much cheaper) for him to surprise me with homemade ones :) They may not have looked quite as perfect, but they sure tasted delicious!!

I so relate to the bitter sweet emotions on mother's day. I'm glad you had a nice day with your family :) so sweet of Tony to make the chocolate covered strawberries.
