Well, when we went in for our ultrasound and dr. appt today, the ultrasound went well and then the dr. checked to see if I was dilated any further. I was dilated to almost 5 cm and 100% effaced, so he said it's time to go to the hospital! That was about 3:00 p.m., so we headed home to get our bags and came over to the hospital (conveniently enough, the clinic, our house, and the hospital are all only about 1/2 mile apart from each other!).
So here we are...it's now about 7:40 p.m. I tested positive for group B strep, so they put me on an IV around 5:00 p.m. and are most likely going to break my water around 9:00 p.m. I'm not having a whole lot of action in the contraction department so hopefully when they break my water things will progress smoothly and quickly.
We really really appreciate your prayers for this little one. It's so good to be hooked up to a monitor where I can hear her heartbeat, but it's kinda hard not to be paranoid and looking at it all the time, wondering if she's going to make it into this world healthy.
Please pray for a safe and smooth delivery as well, and thank you soo much!
