11 months

Hannah Beth, you are now [over] 11 months old!

Size: around 18-19 lbs. ? -we'll find out at your 12 month appt.
Clothes: 12 months
Diapers: mostly cloth/size 3
Sleep habits: about the same as 10 months; 2 naps, bedtime around 7:30
Teeth: when you turned 11 months, you had 5 teeth (2 bottom, 3 top)
Eating habits: you have a great appetite, which makes us happy! This month you've really enjoyed the summer fruits - melons, peaches, grapes. Your favorite veggies seem to be green beans and broccoli.


Things you can do:

• Put items inside bags, containers, etc, and take them back out - such a fun game!
• Turn the pages of books and look closely at each page, one by one
• Say "baba," "dada," "papa," "mama" and recognize people's names and look at them when we ask you where they are
• Easily put rings on and off the ring tower
• You love to get into the cupboards and drawers and take things out and in.
• At 10 1/2 months - bends knees while standing up on things, reaching to grab things off the floor while holding on with one hand
• You pull up to stand on everything - furniture, stroller, people's legs, doors, etc.
• Wave "hi" and "bye-bye" often
• Make "grr" sound with mouth sometimes; one of your favorite sounds to make is "a-daw"
• You love to smile, dance, and clap!!

Random things:

• You kick your legs and shake your arms and get so excited when you see water (swimming pool, beach, bath, etc.).
• You are such a friendly and sociable baby - you warm up quickly to people - even strangers! But you know and love Mommy and Daddy best!
• You often wind down by talking to yourself in your crib before drifting off to sleep.
• You don't enjoy diaper & clothes changes much anymore - you'd much rather be on the move!
• You spent your whole 11th month in North Carolina! (camps, beach, visiting family and friends)
• We call you "sweet one," "munchkin," "sweetish," and other random names
• You love baby dolls and you give kisses to them, as well as people, animals, and pictures of animals and babies in books. You LOVE [real] animals of all kinds!

We sure do love you, sweet girl!
