29 weeks

  • We've made it to 29 weeks...only approximately 10 more to go!

29 weeks (2)

  • In so many ways I am just very ready to meet this precious little blessing (though I know she has so much more growing and developing to do in there)...especially when I feel her movements getting stronger and knowing she's alive and well...I just want so badly to hold her in my arms and hear her little cry. I daily have fears and apprehensions that something is going to go wrong...and I definitely am learning to trust the Lord and place each of these fears and worries in His hands.
  • I am very thankful to be feeling well physically these days. The summer has been soo hot thus far so I have been spending lots of time in the air conditioning...for which I am soo very thankful for as well! Since the school year is completed and I am just spending a few hours each week tutoring, I have been able to get lots of rest at night (though it's getting harder to sleep comfortably..but that's ok!), and even take naps during the day sometimes.
  • According to BabyCenter, sweet baby girl is now about the size of a butternut squash (can't say that I'm very familiar with squash...but that was the comparison they used for this week!), weighing approx. 2 1/2 lbs. and about 15 inches long.

29 weeks size

  • Baby's development this week: her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and her head is growing bigger to make room for her developing brain. Her bones are soaking up lots of calcium. She's growing eyelashes and adding fat to her body. Because of brain wave activity, researchers have speculated that babies can even dream at this time! [When I read that part to Tony, he said..."what do babies dream about? More and more fluid sloshing around?" Good question!]
  • If anyone is wondering, yes, we do have a name picked out for this little blessing. In fact, we have had a name in mind for about a year...before we even knew that this little one was going to be in our lives! BUT...that name will remain a secret until her arrival ;) Feel free to guess.. haha! But we won't tell you if you guess correctly anyway...

I'll leave you with a group of verses that's been an encouragement to me lately,

"For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried. You have brought us into the net; you laid a crushing burden on our backs; you let men ride over our heads, we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance."

Psalm 66:10-12 (emphasis mine)

praying for you, for peace during this last stretch. That baby girl will be in your arms soon. Have you shared plans for her birth? Are you being induced?

These things were thing I needed to have thought out when I was pregnant with Caleb and knowing what our general plan was brought some peace too.

As for names, I'm guessing "Faith" as a first or middle name. It was my daughter's middle name, so I'm partial to it and it kind of goes along with your names for your other sweet babies.
