Our first grade classes had a "Teddy Bear Picnic" on a beautiful sunny Friday. The kids were excited to be able to bring their teddy bears to school. In the afternoon, we went outside and ate teddy grahams and gummy bears and drank "beary" juice while reading teddy bear stories.

A couple of weekends ago, I went to Raleigh to visit my friend Gwen and see her brand-new baby, Riley Kate. She is precious!!

On Thursday and Friday of last week, all the teachers at my school went to an ACSI convention in Greensboro. It was nice to have a little break from our kiddos and we girls had a great time together..(going to the seminars, drinking lots of coffee, shopping at the mall, dinner at Carraba's, etc..) Wish I would've brought my camera though...
Last weekend, we traveled to Charlotte to visit Jan, Steven, and Matthew Loudon. Tony had purchased tickets to go to the NASCAR race at Lowe's Motor Speedway with some guy friends (Steven Loudon, Shane Larter, Rob Taylor, and Bobby Mitchell), so while the guys spent basically all of Saturday at the race, Jan, Matthew, and I had a great time hanging out together!
Here is Matthew at meal time.. he is so cute and getting so big!

After bath time.. I love the hooded towels!

Charity,
Do you have your ACSI accreditation? I was thinking about doing it, because Emmaus said it was so easy, but I wasn't sure what all went into it.
Right now I am on a 2-year license; all I need to do to get my full license is complete a philosophy of education project.
your teddy bear picnic sounds fun. why wasn't I invited?! ;)
I love the pics of Matthew. So glad you got some good hang time with J & M while the guys did their thing. I can't wait to see them next week!
Sorry, Charissa.. I totally should've sent you an invitation!
Wish I could hitch a ride with Jan and family to Dubuque too!!
