It was so nice to leave school right at 3:30 and then spend the whole evening with my sweet husband. Our life gets so busy that sometimes it seems like we don't get to spend very much quality time together. So our evening at the fair was wonderful.
Most of the evening consisted of eating!! Every year, Tony looks forward to the food at the fair.
Here are a few glimpes of our time:
Getting ready to go in...

Me posing with a "Little House on the Prairie" type of wagon:

The first "course"-- Italian Sausage

Checking out some of the animals..

I got a kick out of seeing a lady walking a humongous pig on a leash...

This Navy vehicle made me think of my friends Kristi and Ben :-)

Tony attempted the "Marine Challenge" and he was able to do 15 pull-ups (he was hoping for 20, but I was proud of him!)

Then we enjoyed some Mount Olive dill pickles, made right here in NC.

Tony really wanted to try a deep-fried Snickers bar, so here it is.. very sweet!!

One of my favorite things was the NC State ice cream booth.. they give you so much ice cream! Tony and I put together couldn't finish all of this--it's probably enough for 4 people to share. (Can you tell we did a lot of eating??) :-)

Back home, Tony displays his state fair sticker collection and the Marines hat that he won.
