I have had that "Christmas time is here" song (from the Charlie Brown Christmas movie) in my head for the last couple weeks... do you know which one I'm talking about?
Well, the Christmas shopping is almost done--I'm so glad that even in my busy-ness, I started early! I have been to 3 Christmas parties so far.. one for the staff at my school, one for the ladies at our church, one for Tony's extended family..
and then we have at least 3 more.. one tonight at our house for friends from camp, then one tomorrow night at our house for youth group, and then a party for my class on Thursday! It has been busy trying to get ready for all of this, but it's so much fun too!
I just really want to keep my focus on what this season is all about.. not about the parties, or the yummy food, or the presents, or the programs, or the decorations or shopping.. though all these things are nice.. it's all about the birth of our SAVIOR Jesus!! It's so easy to get caught up in all of the other stuff and not focus on what the reason is for all of this.
Just one more week until we begin our trip to IA.. I can't wait! I told my students that we were going to be driving to IA, and one of them said "Why don't you fly, Mrs. Myers?" I said, "It costs quite a bit more to fly." My student then said, "Yeah, and it doesn't cost ANYTHING to drive!" Well, if only that were true.. oh well..
Christmas break can't come soon enough. I am so looking forward to seeing my family and friends! North Carolina has been fine and everything, but there are lots of things I miss about IA.. mainly the people there who I love!!
Well, it's about time to put the hot wing dip in the oven and get the Christmas cookies set out for the party.. here we go..
Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas!!

You started a blog!?!?!?! How fun! :) I stumbled upon this through Angie and Jason's blog!
I need to update mine.
Cannot wait to see you soon! :)
Charity, you and Tony need to come by and visit us--and this time, hold Miss Katie! She's a bit better behaved now and loves company.
We should meet for dinner sometime....
Happy New Year!
Yippee! Another blog to read!
