4 months

I can't believe our sweet baby girl is already over 4 months old...for some reason, it seems so much older than 3 months!

Hannah Beth, at 4 months:

• You just had your dr. appt today--you weigh 13 lbs, 5 1/2 oz, and you're 24 1/4 inches long, which makes you in the 50% percentile for weight, height, and head circumference too!
  
• You had shots again today, and your face got soo red and you held your breath for a few seconds until you let out a big scream...but after that, you didn't cry for too long and were interested in eating and cuddling with Mommy. I think your legs were a little sore tonight though, so you went to bed a little earlier than normal.
• Diaper size: 2
• Clothes size: Most 6 mos. outfits fit great right now, although a few of the outfits are getting a little short.
  
• A little before Christmastime, at about 3 1/2 months, you rolled over for the first time from your back to your tummy, ever since then you roll over lots! Not so much interested in rolling from tummy to back though. (see next post for video)
• Your neck muscles are getting so strong...you're holding up your head so well now!

• You've started to blow bubbles with your mouth sometimes.

• You're really interested in your toys and rattles now and you grab for things often.
• Your attention span for reading books is longer now and you especially love the bright colors and the books that make a "crackling" noise.

• You still really love having your diaper changed, though it's getting a bit more challenging for Mom and Dad as you're a little wiggle worm!
• You've definitely found your feet! You've learned how to pull your socks off too!
  

• You drool A LOT now, and we can see your 2 little bottom teeth under your gums but they haven't popped through yet.
• You continue to LOVE sucking on your fingers and thumb.
  

• When you're laying down, you try to sit up, and sometimes when you're sitting on our laps, you try to stand up.
• We've figured out that since you were born, with all our travels [halfway across the country 3 times], you've been in 10 different states and spent the night at 14 different places! Good thing you like your Pack n Play!
• You're such a great sleeper at night...you usually sleep for 9-10 hours [although last night you slept almost 12 hours straight!], eat, and then go back to bed for another couple hours.
• Naps...are a very different story. As your daddy says, "we have a non-napping baby." You fall asleep in mommy's arms, but often wake up when the time comes to sleep in your bed. But if I had to choose night or day sleep, I'd definitely choose the night sleep..so thanks sweet darling :)
  
• You love to smile and you've giggled several times.
• You love music too, and we have fun singing and dancing with you.
• You love to kick your little legs, especially when you're "free"--with your diaper off, that is.
• I think activity and people make you happy--you love watching your cousins play and being around lots of action. Mommy carries you around at youth group and you enjoy watching the "big kids" and taking it all in.
