Accepting His Will

The Lord knew exactly what I was supposed to read from my devotional book last night...and I thought I would share it with all of you, especially for those of you who are going through trials and adversity in your lives right now.

"All of us must, from time to time, endure days filled with suffering and pain.
And as human beings with limited understanding,
we can never fully understand the plans of our Father in Heaven.
But as believers in a benevolent God, we must always trust Him.
When Jesus went to the Mount of Olives, He poured out His heart to God (Luke 22).
Jesus knew of the agony that He was destined to endure,
but He also knew that God's will must be done.
We, like our Savior, face trials that bring fear and trembling to the very depths of our souls, but like Christ, we, too, must seek God's will, not our own.
When we learn to accept God's will without reservation, we experience the peace that He offers to wise believers who trust Him completely."
I will be honest with you...I'm having a hard time accepting God's will right now. I needed to read this. It's just so hard to understand how God is using all of this for His glory...but that's just it...I have such limited understanding as a human that I can't comprehend it at this point.
But I am thanking God that He has a plan and a purpose and that even when we don't understand it, His will is perfect. He's in control. And He wants only the best for His children.

Isn't it amazing how the Lord brings just the right words at just the right time for our aching hearts? I'm always astounded at how specifically He will address something I've been struggling with through a Bible verse or devotional passage. I'm so thankful the Lord cares enough to speak to us.

Praying for you as always, sweet sister.

This is a beautiful reminder. It is so hard to understand why these things happen. It just makes us long for heaven to be eternally with our Savior and with our loved ones that have gone ahead. Love you!

good thoughts, friend. it reminds me of the analogy i once heard.. our lives are like a tapestry. we see things from the bottom side, where all the strings are tangled and don't make any sense - but God sees it from the top, where it makes a beautiful picture. keep clinging to Him. love you!

I can't stop crying and aching for you. I believe that God will pull you through to the other side of the tunnel but until that day, please know that you are loved and prayed for regularly.

Thanks for what you shared! It was so encouraging and an awesome reminder.

Perhaps the Lord is showing you that now is not the time for you to start a family.

Take the time to hear His will for your life.

To the last anonymous writer...,
Take it from me--your words are not very helpful at all. You do not say this type of thing to a lady who has lost children. She misses her babies, and I'm sure that your comment is not very comforting. You need to be more careful in your "comfort."

Charity,
you and Tony stay strong and keep plugging along. You are in the Lord's arms and He will not leave you, ever. The only words you need to focus on are those He is drawing you to see in His word.

We'll never understand why things like this happen, why they're allowed to happen but we can trust Him and that's the only truth that their is sometimes to grab and to hang onto.
Love you and continuing to lift you up!

To the first Anon. - What kind of whack-job view of God do you have? Job 16:2
