On Monday I went in for my 35-week dr. appt. The doctor then informed me that I am already 2 centimeters dilated and 80% effaced, and she said that she would be very surprised if the baby waits until the due date (which is exactly one month from today) to come!!
I was pretty shocked to hear this because I guess I was thinking that most first babies come late so mine probably would too. I haven't had any contractions or true labor pains yet, but Baby girl Myers just might make her appearance in the next few days! Or it also could be a few weeks..
My first baby shower is scheduled for January 18th, so I'm really hoping to at least make it until the 19th, but we'll see...
So my list is growing of all the things that I need to do before she arrives.. mostly school stuff to prepare for my maternity leave, but also a couple other things:
--Get the car seat base installed in our car
--Pick up the rug for the baby room (which just came in today.. yay!)
--Clean the house thoroughly!!
It's great to know that the Lord is totally in control and His timing is perfect. We are so excited and looking forward to meeting our baby.

wow, you are on the way, girl! Your body is doing the hard work for you right now. Just try to relax and not stress out too much. Let me know if you need anything!Go get your bag packed...
i hope you get to go to your first baby shower too :) love you! also - ps - the ring i got is the same diamond from my engagement ring, but a brand new band with diamonds in it. praying for you girls!
