Tuesday's Happenings...

Not only was Tuesday our 2nd anniversary, it was also the "big" day for our ultrasound appt.
In the morning, I told my 1st grade class that I would be gone for a couple hours so that I could go to the doctor and have them check on my baby. I also told my little ones that we would hopefully find out if the baby is a boy or a girl. Then out of my own curiousity, I had my students vote for what they thought the baby's gender is...to my surprise (I thought it would be more even), there were 9 votes for a girl and 4 votes for a boy.
Then I told my students that it was possible that the doctors wouldn't be able to tell if it was a boy or a girl. One sweet little girl in my class asked, "Can we pray that God would help the doctors to know if it's a boy or a girl?" I said "Of course," and so they did!!

The ultrasound went really well.. although the suspense was nearly killing Tony and me as the ultrasound technician found all of the baby's body parts and then waited until the very last thing to tell us what the gender was... The Lord did answer "yes" to my little students' prayers...
So.. our big news is... that we will be needing the purple and pink clothes!!

Girl clothes

IT's A GIRL!!! We are so excited, and most of all we are thankful that everything looks great with the baby at this point. She weighs 8 oz. and the dr. said she's right on schedule! :-)

That is wonderful! Little girls are GREAT! Of course if you were having a boy I would say that they are great too. Just in a different way. Knowing should help you come up with a name. I'm due in a little over three weeks and we still haven't decided on any boy or girl names yet. Yikes. Praising the Lord that she is healthy!
