Hannah Beth is practicing to be Mommy's helper when our
NEW ADDITION arrives sometime around the middle of June!
We are so thankful the Lord has blessed us with a new little life inside my womb.
Our due date is June 14, 2012 - I am now officially halfway through my pregnancy :)
The blog title comes from the first 2-word sentence Hannah Beth spoke - at almost 15 months old, over Thanksgiving, I was changing her diaper, and out of nowhere she exclaimed, "Oh Baby!" She had said the word "baby" before many times (I think it was actually her first word) - but she had never put the words together as an exclamation - it was so cute! The ironic thing too was that we had just announced our news to my family at the Thanksgiving dinner table a few hours earlier. So what an appropriate thing to say :)
I have experienced a lot of morning sickness, vomiting, etc. during this pregnancy (mostly between weeks 6-14) - but I wasn't entirely surprised since that was the case when I was expecting Alethia & Hannah Beth as well. But I definitely cannot complain - every moment of sickness brought with it thankfulness for the reason behind the nausea - a precious little life that God is knitting together with His own hands. My heart goes out to so many women who are currently struggling to conceive a child, and I certainly cannot take that for granted.
A little "funny" to share related to the morning sickness : Poor Hannah Beth has witnessed quite a bit of my "getting sick" next to the "porcelain throne." One day she started coughing (partly due to a cold and part of it was fake I think) and her first reaction was to go to the bathroom, attempt to lift the toilet lid and cough into it. Then she did the same thing a couple weeks later at my grandparents' apartment. That brought us all quite a few laughs!! Oh how toddlers love to imitate...
We have an ultrasound scheduled for this coming Monday - and hopefully baby will cooperate and we'll find out if Hannah Beth will have a little brother or sister!
Your prayers for a healthy, full-term baby are much appreciated. Fear/anxiety throughout pregnancy is something that I think I will always struggle with after losing precious Alethia Joy. But God is in control and I'm soo thankful that I can trust Him with each second, each moment, each day.
Have a blessed weekend!
