Visit to Iowa

Here are some photos from my trip to Iowa a couple of weekends ago. I flew there on a Thursday evening and came back on Monday afternoon. We had that Friday off of school, so I only had to take off one school day.. it worked out perfectly!

Lots of fun, quality time with my nieces, Isabelle and Kindra...

It was great to be back in my "home state" and see many family members and a few friends.
I really enjoyed some quality time with Charissa!
The only 2 things that I looked forward to coming back to were the warmer weather (it felt like winter up there and even snowed a little bit!) and my husband!

He is such a sweet little guy!
One of the highlights of the trip was being able
to attend the girls' birthday party!
Their birthdays are about a month apart (Isabelle-4, Kindra-2) but
why not celebrate them together, especially when Aunt Charity is in town? :)

The theme of the party was "Dora" and Aunt Jamie even made cupcakes that looked like Dora's face! So cute.

Sweet little sis Natalie... people keep telling us we look alike. I just don't see it, especially since we are 6 years apart. What do you think?

I was fortunate to be able to spend lots of time with this little guy, cuddling him, feeding him, and just cherishing his precious life.
My trip was bittersweet and emotional at times...as I constantly thought about my 8-month old Alethia Joy playing with her cousins and how much fun they would have together.
I know she must be having such a great time in Heaven
with soo many other babies.
Nehemiah was the first newborn I've held since my own little daughter.
I just soaked in every moment and loved on him as if he was my own.
Thank you, Lord, for these precious children
that you've placed in our extended family.
Please bless us, Lord, with little ones to fill our arms
and our hearts and our home.

I am praying for your arms and hearts to be filled as well. I'm glad you had a good time with your family. I wish you could have brought your little Alethia to meet her new cousin. Praying for you!

You are joking right? You and Natalie are mirror images. You part your hair on different sides and you are more tan. At least you look like you are related to eachother. I don't quite have that with my siblings. Praying for the Lord to fill your arms, hearts, home too!
