School's out, let's all shout!

School's out for me (Charity), that is...
Tony is taking a one-week class at seminary this week. It's intense--5 days, 8 hours a day, but on Friday afternoon, it's done. The class is taught by "the famous" Dr. Norman Geisler on World Religions.

My students were done a couple of Fridays ago on May 31st, and we teachers had a week of teacher work days, so my last one was Friday, June 6th.
Our last week of school was full of activities, including lots of classroom games, a whole day of field day (even though it rained!), readers' theater performances, an ice-cream party, extra recess time, and awards ceremonies. Fun stuff! I was sad to say good-bye to the kids, but I have to say.. it is great to be done and be on summer break!

So far this week I have enjoyed being able to sleep in a little bit and relax, along with doing some shopping, running errands, and small projects at home. It's been a long time since I've had free time like this!!
This Saturday, Tony and I are heading up to Mountain Top Youth Camp to counsel for Junior Teen week. This will be our first adventure of several for this summer...including another week of camp coming up later in June.

Hope everyone is having a great month of June so far!
